Emma Roberts comes from a famous show business family — she is the daughter of actor Eric Roberts and Kelly Cunningham, and the niece of iconic Hollywood actress Julia Roberts.

On Tuesday’s Table for Two podcast, she said men from similar backgrounds have it easier. To her point, behold: George Clooney.

“I always joke, ‘Why is no one calling out George Clooney for being a nepo baby? [His aunt] Rosemary Clooney was an icon.'”

Rosemary Clooney is best known as a major star of the 1940s and 1950s, as a singer and actress who appeared alongside Bing Crosby in ‘White Christmas.’

Despite the comment, Roberts said she doesn’t think anyone should be punished for their family connections.

Some famous family ties include Nicholas Cage (nephew of Francis Ford Coppola), Zoe Kravitz (daughter of Lenny Kravitz & Lisa Bonet), Lily-Rose Depp (daughter of Johnny Depp & Vanessa Paradis), Jamie Lee Curtis (daughter of Tony Curtis & Janet Leigh), Timothée Chalamet (son of Marc Chalamet & Nicole Flender), Dakota Johnson (daughter of Don Johnson & Melanie Griffith), and Willow and Jaden Smith (children of Will Smith & Jada Pinkett-Smith).

Of course, there are many, many more examples, and the connections in the film and music industry run deep with nepotism.

Not too long ago, daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, Maya Hawke (‘Stranger Things,’ ‘Maestro’) said she’s “embracing” nepotism and is comfortable with getting roles in Hollywood because of her family’s status.
