James Gunn Reveals First Look At David Corenswet’s Superman

‘Superman’ (previously titled ‘Superman: Legacy’) director James Gunn has revealed our first look at David Corenswet as Superman.

The director of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise is now heading DC Studios and will oversee the new universe. ‘Superman’ (2025) will be the first film in James Gunn’s new universe.

Superman actor David Corenswet, 30, first broke out in Ryan Murphy’s 2019 Netflix drama series ‘The Politician’ before starring in A24’s acclaimed indie horror ‘Pearl.’ He also starred in the underrated Netflix original series ‘Hollywood’ (2020).

Rachel Brosnahan, 33, will star as Lois Lane, and is best known for her lead role in the popular Amazon comedy series ‘The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.’

Additional castings include Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and Milly Alcock as Supergirl.

‘Superman’ releases on July 11, 2025.
