Ex-MMA fighter and actress Gina Carano continues her legal battle over being fired from ‘The Mandalorian’ back in February 2021 over saying “history is edited” on her holocaust-related post on social media.

“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future,” a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement from 2021. “Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

Carano suggested names as potential witnesses that could be called to testify in her case including Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and co-star Pedro Pascal.

The July 26 court document shows issues to be raised in the September 25, 2025 trial, such as whether Carano was under contract at the time of termination.

Carano filed the lawsuit in February, alleging that Disney and Lucasfilm turned a blind eye to male co-stars who made offensive posts directed toward Republicans, pointing out Pascal’s 2017 post comparing former President Donald Trump to Hitler.

Gina Carano is a vocal Donald Trump supporter and came under heavy criticism after posting her original Instagram post which read: "Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors... even by children... Because history is edited, most people today don't realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?"

A federal judge leaned toward Disney’s bid to dismiss the lawsuit last week, while U.S. District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett rejected arguments that Carano’s discrimination claims are held by the First Amendment.
