The new ‘28 Years Later’ film from director Danny Boyle and Sony Pictures is gaining in popularity among fans, and the latest casting has certainly caught the attention of anyone who may have been unaware of the project. Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes have boarded the first instalment in this new trilogy, which serves as a sequel to the original ‘28 Days Later’ film.

Boyle will be directing the first movie from a script by Alex Garland (‘Annihilation / ‘Civil War’), and will receive a global theatrical release by Sony.

The original hit ‘28 Days Later’ in (2002) starred Cillian Murphy (whom Christopher Nolan caught an attraction to after seeing this performance), who’s character wakes from a coma to discover the world has been taken over by terrifying zombies following a global viral outbreak. The film grossed more than $82 million worldwide which greenlit a 2007 sequel titled ‘28 Weeks Later.’
