After being a prominent character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Quill / Star-Lord, Chris Pratt isn’t ruling out joining another cinematic franchise.

Following his recent visit on the set of ‘Superman’ (2025), at the invitation of his friend and director of all three MCU ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ movies, the actor said “there’s always a chance” he could make the franchise crossover, but remained vague on which character he’d like to portray.

“I just have to leave that to the fans and people like James to decide,” Pratt told TMZ. Currently, certain Marvel fans are urging director James Gunn to hire the actor as Batman or Booster Gold.

Pratt didn’t hesitate in declaring if he would join the franchise, saying; “Yes, of course. If it could fit into my schedule and it made sense, I would love it. Of course I love playing Star-Lord, and hopefully there’s a chance that can come back. I just feel so blessed to be able to do any of it, to be considered for any of it. If it’s right and the fans would love it, I’d be more than happy to do it.”

Gunn shared a photo of Pratt on the set of Superman earlier this month. captioning: Always nice to have friends visiting set.

Gunn has been in talks with Guardians actress and frequent collaborator Pom Klementieff to play a “specific character” in the DCU, but details are limited at this time.

Since taking over DC Studios with Peter Safran in 2022, James Gunn has been hard at work with his first DC film ‘Superman.’ Much like the previous universe, the DCEU, Superman is the character that will launch the new universe.

The movie stars David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Milly Alcock as Supergirl, María Gabriela de Faría as Engineer, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner (Green Lantern), Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Sean Gunn (James Gunn’s brother) as Maxwell Lord, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, and Pruitt Taylor Vince as Johnathan Kent.
