Colin Firth Joins Guy Ritchie’s ‘Young Sherlock’ Series For Prime Video

Colin Firth has joined Prime Video’s new series from Guy Ritchie; ‘Young Sherlock,’ an origin story about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic detective.

Ritchie will be directing and executive producing.

Firth joins a of cast Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes and Natascha McElhone.

The project is written by Matthew Parkhill, based on works from Andy Lane’s Young Sherlock Holmes book series. Parkhill will serve as executive producer and showrunner, while Simon Kelton, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Maxwell, Dhana Gilbert, Colin Wilson, Marc Resteghini serve as executive producers.

It’s reported that Colin Firth will play Sir Bucephalus Hodge.

Oscar winner Colin Firth is no stranger to slick, action-packed projects as his notable work on the ‘Kingsman’ franchise was well-received for his smooth portrayal of a secret agent in London. The actor recently starred in 2022s Max limited series ‘The Staircase,’ which landed him his second Emmy nomination.

Young Sherlock’ synopsis: A 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes, finds himself entangled in a murder at Oxford that jeopardizes his freedom. His first case, tackled recklessly, leads him to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy that alters his path forever.
