It appears that certain fans of HBO’s hit ‘Game Of Thrones’ spin-off show ‘House Of The Dragon’ can’t differentiate an actor from a character, leading to the online harassment Ser Criston Cole actor Fabien Frankel.

Frankel experienced the fandom's hatred for his character Ser Criston Cole, which unfortunately trickled onto his social pages including Instagram comment sections under his personal posts.

Frankel limited comments on his recent posts due to the fans struggling to comprehend that the actor is not his character.

Although fans were first making jokes about his character on the show, things quickly spiraled out of hand, and hateful comments from began to pour in.

This is not the first time an actor has been harassed for portraying an ‘evil’ character, as Jack Gleeson who masterfully played the sinister King ‘Joffrey’ from Game of Thrones, was met with a slew of internet comments for character decisions made on-screen in the fictitious world.
