‘Superman’ Begins Filming In Downtown Cleveland, Set Photos Show David Corenswet In Full Superman Suit & First Look At Lois Lane

New Superman actor David Corenswet filmed his first scene as the Man of Steel in downtown Cleveland on Monday. Onlookers, extras and crew members waited anticipation for several hours before the actor emerged in the famous Superman suit — and with red trunks.
Corenswet’s Superman suit revealed the iconic bright colors, complete with a red cape with a yellow “S” on the back, and the superhero’s returning red trunks for the first time since Brandon Routh wore them in ‘Superman Returns (2006).’ Famously, Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel abandoned the trunks for a sleeker, more “alien” look.
