New Yorgos Lanthimos Movie ‘Bugonia’ Starring Emma Stone Gets 2025 Release Date

‘Bugonia’ is the next film from a seemingly non-stop workaholic Yorgos Lanthimos, which stars frequent collaborators Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons. The film will be released in the U.S. on November 7, 2025 by Focus Features, and Universal Pictures will release ‘Bugonia’ internationally.

The film is written by Will Tracy, and follows two conspiracy-obsessed men who kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth (IMDb).

Lanthimos leaves his recent studio of Searchlight Pictures, which released his acclaimed Oscar winners ‘Poor Things’ and ‘The Favourite,’ and his upcoming feature which premiered at Cannes 2024 ‘Kinds of Kindness.’

Emma Stone also collaborated with Lanthimos on ‘The Favourite’ and ‘Poor Things,’ while Jesse Plemons and Stone shared the screen in ‘Kinds of Kindness.’
