Apple Original Film has announced today that the new F1 movie will be titled ‘F1,’ and a new teaser poster was dropped with the announcement. Joseph Kosinski directs the project with Brad Pitt as the lead star.

There’s reportedly a sneak peek this weekend of the movie at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix on Sunday, July 7.

Warner Bros. landed a distribution deal for F1 and has already announced the feature’s release date of June 27, 2025 in North America and June 25, 2025 internationally.

Brad Pitt plays a former driver who returns to Formula 1, accompanied by his teammate played by Damson Idris, at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid.

The movie is being shot during real Grand Prix weekends, and the film will be shot in IMAX. The cast includes Oscar nominee Kerry Condon, Oscar winner Javier Bardem, Emmy Award winner Tobias Menzies, Emmy Award nominee Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo.

The film is produced by Joseph Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, Brad Pitt, and seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Chad Oman.
