‘SOULM8TE’ is the official title for the spin-off of suprise hit ‘M3GAN,’ about a robotics engineer who builds a life-like robot doll that spirals into chaos as it takes on a life of its own.

Breakout star Lily Sullivan of 2023s ‘Evil Dead Rise,’ is set to star in ‘SOULM8TE’ as the artificially intelligent android, deployed to aid a grieving man after the death of his wife. This film continues establishing the horror/thriller universe based around the dangers of modern technology.

Kate Dolan helms the film as director, after re-writing an original version of the script by Rafael Jordan.

“SOULM8TE” is set for release in January 2026, and will follow the in-development sequel to ‘M3GAN,’ titled ‘M3GAN 2.0,’ which is slated for June 27, 2025.

Synopsis: A man acquires an Artificially Intelligent android to cope with the loss of his recently deceased wife. In an attempt to create a truly sentient partner, he inadvertently turns a harmless lovebot into a deadly soulmate.

Jason Blum and James Wan are producing the film, with Michael Clear and Judson Scott serving as executive producers.
