Season 4 of the Prime Video superhero series ‘The Boys’ returns this month, and showrunner Eric Kripke revealed his plans for the remainder of the series, which is an adaption of the comic book of the same name.

“I am – without hyperbole – literally the worst person in history at predicting how long their show should go,” he said recently to SFX Magazine, poking fun at how his last show, ‘Supernatural,’ lasted for 15 seasons. “No one in the entire history of the entertainment business has been more wrong than me, giving interview after interview on how I thought Supernatural should end after five years.”

He continued: “So I would be crazy to speculate on how many seasons any show should go. I’m not going to make that same mistake again. But, yes, I do have an ending in mind.”

In 2020, Kripke discussed his “rough idea” for ‘The Boys,’ as “five seasons total” was the ideal benchmark.

‘The Boys’ received an early renewal for Season 5 last month ahead of Season 4’s release.

Season 4 of ‘The Boys’ premieres on June 13 on Amazon Prime Video.
