A unexpected ‘300’ TV series adaptation is in early development at Warner Bros Television. The series is reported to be a prequel to Zack Snyder’s 2006 adaption.

Deals are currently being negotiated, with Zack Snyder, who directed and co-wrote ‘300,’ in talks to direct and executive produce the series. His wife and producing partner Deborah Snyder would also return as an executive producer with their joint production company Stone Quarry.

‘300’ was based on the graphic novel of the same name by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley, which was a fictionalized tale based on real historical events.
