Christopher Nolan is assembling a powerhouse cast for his next big project at Universal.

Anne Hathaway and Zendaya are confirmed to star in Nolan’s highly anticipated upcoming 2026 film, joining Matt Damon and Tom Holland.

The untitled project is slated for an IMAX release on July 17, 2026, aligning with Nolan’s tradition of mid-July releases — a strategy that has worked well for him in the past.

Nolan's decision to keep details about the plot tightly under wraps is no surprise — only fueling the intrigue surrounding this star-studded event film.

While Universal has remained tight-lipped about the recent casting news, production is expected to kick off in early 2025. However, insiders have emphasized that any plot descriptions circulating are incorrect, leaving fans to speculate about what Nolan has up his sleeve after his mega-successful 2023 r-rated biopic ‘Oppenheimer.’

For Zendaya, 2024 has been a standout year. She first captivated audiences in ‘Dune: Part Two,’ which dominated the box office with over $700 million in global earnings, while being a hit with critics and fans alike — hailing Denis Villeneuve’s film as one of the greatest sci-fi epics ever made. She then shifted gears with ‘Challengers,’ a gripping tennis drama from Amazon MGM Studios. Now, with this new collaboration with Nolan, her impressive run shows no signs of slowing down.

Anne Hathaway is no stranger to working with Nolan, having collaborated on ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ (2012) as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, and Nolan’s often-hailed magnum opus, ‘Interstellar’ (2014), which just had its 10th anniversary since the film’s release.

With such a stellar cast and the ever-enigmatic Nolan at the helm, the untitled event film is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2026.
