Netflix is now taking action against the recent (and very large) animation leaks which saw full episodes of upcoming shows like ‘Arcane’ and ‘Terminator Zero’ appear on X (Twitter), 4Chan and Reddit.

A Netflix spokesperson said the leaks were first reported internally prior to spreading online.

“One of our post production partners has been compromised and footage from several of our titles has unfortunately leaked online. Our team is aggressively taking action to have it taken down,” said Netflix spokesperson Sabryna Phillips in a statement to The Verge.

Crunchyroll was also hit on a smaller scale, with the season premiere of ‘Re: Zero’ leaking.

Variety indicates that subtitling and dubbing production studio ‘Iyuno’ was compromised. Iyuno confirmed this in a statement on Friday regarding a “security breach” by “unauthorized access to confidential content.”

The affected shows and their release dates include:

  • Terminator Zero - August 29.

  • Heartstopper Season 3 - October 3.

  • Ranma ½ - October 5.

  • Re: Zero Season 3 - October.

  • Dandadan - October.

  • Re: Zero Season 3 - October.

  • Spellbound - November 22.

  • Arcane Season 2 - November.

  • Plankton: The Movie - 2025.

The most anticipated show on this list is season 2 of ‘Arcane,’ following the first season debut in 2021 which garnered high praise or its unique animation style, riveting character development, and complex story.
