Ben Affleck And Matt Damon To Develop Hulk Hogan Movie ‘Killing Gawker’

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon‘s production company Artists Equity confirms that a feature film about Hulk Hogan‘s legal battle with Gawker Media is in the works.

The screenplay for ‘Killing Gawker’ is written by Charles Randolph, who’s accomplishments include ‘The Big Short,’ winning the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. The Hulk Hogan pic is yet another adaption from author Ryan Holiday’s book ‘Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker and the Anatomy of Intrigue.’

Affleck and Damon are in talks with their friend and acclaimed director of ‘Good Will Hunting’ Gus Van Sant to helm the film.

Reportedly, Affleck has been optioning to play the role of Hogan with no additional casting news being confirmed.

The film will be set in 2016, when Gawker Media agreed to pay $31 million to Hogan to settle the adult tape lawsuit over the company publishing the footage.
