Camila Mendes Departs Sony’s ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Sequel

Camila Mendes has left the Sony reboot of ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer.’
Reportedly, the star of the ‘Riverdale’ series could not make production dates due to her commitment to Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films major upcoming live-action adaption of ‘Masters of the Universe’ in which she will portray Teela.
As we reported back on August 16, Mendes will star opposite He-Man lead Nicholas Galitzine. Mendes’ character Teela is described as the captain of the royal guard, adopted by the Man-at-Arms, inventor of weapons.

Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers and Jonah Hauer-King are still attached to star in ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer,’ and Sony has held conversations to bring back original cast members Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr.
