The film launched to 4,151 theaters and is overall well-received from critics and fans, with Rotten Tomatoes showing 78% from critics and a much higher 92% from audience members.
The film paves way for two rising stars: Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones, who continue to solidify their statuses in Hollywood.
Lee Isaac Chung directed the pic (‘Minari’) from a script by Mark L. Smith (‘The Revenant’).
‘Twisters’ hit theatres 28 years after the original film; ‘Twister,’ which starred the late Bill Paxton alongside Helen Hunt. Much like the original film, the new instalment boasts stunning visual effects on a massive ‘disaster film’ scope.
