Anthony Bourdain Biopic ‘Tony’ In the Works From A24 With Dominic Sessa (‘The Holdovers’) To Star
A biopic is in the works about the late Anthony Bourdain.
21-year-old breakout star of Alexander Payne’s ‘The Holdovers,’ Dominic Sessa, is set to star as the legendary world travel documentarian, chef and author in a feature film from A24.
Canadian director behind the highly underrated ‘Blackberry’ (2023) Matt Johnson, is set to direct from a script by Todd Bartels and Lou Howe.
Anthony Bourdain dominated the spotlight with his memoir Kitchen Confidential from 2000, and capitalized his book’s success by turning to TV for world travel and cultural food endeavours. He later hosted the hit series ‘Parts Unknown’ on CNN, which continued until his death in 2018.
Three years after Bourdain’s death, a documentary titled ‘Roadrunner’ was released in 2021, directed and produced by Morgan Neville. The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.
