Edgar Wright’s ‘The Running Man’ Full Cast Update

Edgar Wright’s remake of the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger-led sci-fi film is building a star-studded cast.
Based on the classic Stephen King novel written under pen name Richard Bachman, ‘The Running Man’ tackles the story of a world where the government controls the media. Within this world, Ben Richards volunteers to participate in a deadly game show, in which he will be hunted by professional killers for 30 days in order to win a cash prize.

The cast seems to be ever-increasing, with William H. Macy recently being added to the roster. The film also stars Glen Powell (‘Twisters,’ ‘Top Gun: Maverick’) as the lead role, Josh Brolin, Karl Glusman, Katy O’Brian, Daniel Ezra, Lee Pace, Jayme Lawson, Michael Cera and Emilia Jones.
Wright penned the script with Michael Bacall and will produce alongside Nira Park and Simon Kinberg, in which George Linder will act as executive producer.
The feature begins shooting next week in London, with Paramount slating the film for a November 21, 2025 release.
