Mia Goth has joined the stacked ensemble of Christopher Nolan's upcoming film, 'The Odyssey.’

This Universal Pictures project is an adaptation of Homer's Greek epic poem and features a lineup of well-known actors including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal, Elliot Page and Himesh Patel.

'The Odyssey' recounts the arduous 10-year journey of King Odysseus back to Ithaca following the Trojan War, a voyage marked by divine interventions and mythical challenges, including encounters with Cyclopes. The epic also details the struggles of Odysseus’ wife and son who deal with suitors vying for his throne.

Details from Nolan remain scarce, but speculation about Goth’s character includes possibilities such as a siren— a creature whose singing lures sailors to their doom. In the epic, Odysseus ties himself to a mast to withstand the siren's song. Alternatively, Goth could portray a goddess or even a statue, though Universal has not provided any comments on this speculation.

Mia Goth was last seen in 'MaXXXine', the conclusion of Ti West's horror trilogy for A24, in which ‘X’ and ‘Pearl’ were its predecessors.

Universal has announced that 'The Odyssey' will premiere on July 17, 2026, with production starting in various global locations later this month.
